Auping Comfort mattress
DPPS® pocket springs
At the heart of every Auping mattress, you will find our unique DPPS® pocket springs, which offer optimal support, allowing you to roll over effortlessly without waking up.
DPPS® stands for: Dynamic Progressive Pocket Springs. These pocket springs have been specifically developed for Auping. The spring (in a pocket) is asymmetrical. It is flexible at the top and more sturdy at the bottom.
We unconsciously roll over about 30 times during the night, but the DPPS® pocket springs ensure your sleep is not disturbed.
The ticking
The top layer of the mattress is called the ticking.
Box spring mattresses are upholstered with upholstery fabric, which can choose for yourself. The top layer is also called the ‘mirror’. The ‘mirror’ is made from a knitted fabric of Tencel and polyester.
Tencel is a type of viscose made from eucalyptus wood. This wood comes from special, sustainably managed forests where a new tree is planted for every tree used, and it bears the EU Ecolabel.
The fixation system
We make all our box springs with a great eye for detail. For example, Auping top and box spring mattresses come with a coupling system, with attractive buttons and loops to attach the top mattress to the mattress so that it doesn’t slide down if you adjust your box spring.
The bottom of an Auping mattress
The bottom of an Auping mattress consists of a felt base and a polyether foam support.
The anthracite felt base provides a stable basis and good ventilation. The polyether foam support lying on top of that provides even better ventilation.
All Auping mattresses consist of carefully stacked layers. Everything is just where it should be, and the additional advantage is that you never need to turn your mattress around ever again!
All Auping mattresses are suitable for all bed frames and are available in a variety of sizes, both single and double, up to 220 cm in length.
The comfort layer
On top of the pocket springs, you’ll find the comfort layer, which ensures that you lie comfortably.
The comfort layer on this mattress is made from HR foam that is 3 cm thick, making it resilient and comfortable to lie on.

Quality at an affordable price
The Comfort mattress represents quality at an affordable price, making it the ideal choice for anyone looking for comfort and great value. The three different zones provide perfect support.
You should always combine an upholstered mattress with a top mattress. This extra layer on the box spring determines what it feels like to lie on, which is therefore a very individual choice and not the same thing as the support your body needs.
The Comfort mattress can be chosen for the Auping Original and Auping Criade box springs and upholstered in any of the 95 fabrics from the Auping fabric collection. It is also available with an optional piping finish.

How well can you recycle our mattresses?
About 35 million mattresses are discarded and thrown away in Europe alone every year. Many mattresses are burned or end up on the rubbish dump. At Auping, we want to do this differently. Better.
Mattresses are difficult to recycle due to the complex composition of glued materials. At Auping, we develop mattresses that are as recyclable as possible. Auping Inizio scores a B label.
The materials can be reused continuously to make new mattresses. That is circular.
Don’t be ashamed. A big part of the materials is reused to make, for example, a judo mat or sound insulation. We call it downcycling.
The materials are ground down into granules that are burned in the incinerator. The heat released in this process is used to generate electricity.
The materials end up as landfill.
Did you know that a lot of mattresses end up in the rubbish dump unnecessarily? Therefore, always take your old mattress to an Auping store or waste disposal station for the best possible processing.
