Auping Deluxe Top Mattress
The ticking
The ticking is the outer cover of the top mattress. It can be cleaned and is both breathable and soft.
The Deluxe and Prestige top mattress ticking is a knitted fabric made from polyester and Tencel. Tencel is a type of viscose made from eucalyptus wood. This wood comes from special, sustainably managed forests where a new tree is planted for every tree used, and it bears the EU Ecolabel.
The cover is easy to remove thanks to its zip and can be washed at 60°C.
The core
The Deluxe top mattress core is made from high-quality perforated latex (Latex Perfo), which has been specially developed for Auping and feels firm to lie on with good ventilation.
Auping Deluxe Top Mattress
High-quality and resilient
The Deluxe top mattress is resilient and feels soft to lie on. It comes with a ticking that is easy to remove thanks to its zip and can be washed at 60°C.
The underside of the top mattress is made from breathable fabric for extra ventilation.
The Deluxe top mattress can be combined with the Comfort, Deluxe and Prestige box spring mattresses for the Original and Criade box springs.
It is also available as a split top mattress for an adjustable box spring. This is handy because it allows you to adjust the box spring bases separately.
How well can you recycle our mattresses?
About 35 million mattresses are discarded and thrown away in Europe alone every year. Many mattresses are burned or end up on the rubbish dump. At Auping, we want to do this differently. Better.
Mattresses are difficult to recycle due to the complex composition of glued materials. At Auping, we develop mattresses that are as recyclable as possible. Auping Inizio scores a B label.
The materials can be reused continuously to make new mattresses. That is circular.
Don’t be ashamed. A big part of the materials is reused to make, for example, a judo mat or sound insulation. We call it downcycling.
The materials are ground down into granules that are burned in the incinerator. The heat released in this process is used to generate electricity.
The materials end up as landfill.
Did you know that a lot of mattresses end up in the rubbish dump unnecessarily? Therefore, always take your old mattress to an Auping store or waste disposal station for the best possible processing.
